Welcome Sara Collyer as Compassion Society of Halton’s new Executive Director. Sara brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership, much of it here in Halton.

Burlington, ONWelcome Sara Collyer as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Sara brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership in community services, food security, fundraising and regional partnership development. Much of that work has been done here in Halton and the Hamilton area. She knows our community, our partners and the people we serve.
As the first Executive Director of Open Doors Community Hub in Burlington, Sara turned a collection of programs into an integrated community hub. She also co-founded the previous Feeding Halton Collaborative, which brought agencies together to coordinate food security work across the region.
Sara has served on the boards of REACH Niagara and St. Matthew’s House and is a member of Rotary. She holds a Non-Profit Leadership Certificate from Mohawk College, and is a current student at the Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Leadership.
Sara’s deep roots in Halton’s food security network, her proven fundraising results and her collaborative, people-first leadership are exactly what Compassion Society of Halton needs as we work to become the centre of the network of agencies and partners helping to reduce poverty in Halton.
