COMMUNITY BEHIND THE CARE
Every visit is supported by a wider community.
We can offer free groceries, clothing, everyday essentials and connections to local services because people and organizations across Halton choose to take part. Some give funds, and others give food, goods, skills or their time. Together, that generosity becomes help neighbours can use with dignity.
Here we thank the people and organizations behind that work and show how their support reaches families.

Could your organization be part of what comes next?
Partnerships can begin with funding, food, goods, professional skills, a workplace team or a fresh community idea. We would love to hear what you have in mind.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN ACTION
When people take part, generosity becomes useful.
Some of the best community efforts pair what people collect with the time it takes to get it ready for families. Here are a few of them.
3,000+ lbs
Rotherglen School
Students from Rotherglen School's Oakville Elementary Campus delivered more than 3,000 pounds of food, then spent hours labelling and sorting the donations alongside staff and volunteers.
1,000 lbs
Fern Hill School
In an earlier drive, Fern Hill School students collected and delivered 1,000 pounds of food, then labelled and sorted the items with support from school leaders and Compassion Society of Halton volunteers.
Food Market supply
Food for Life and COBS Bread provide bread and buns, and Little Caesars provides pizza, so the Food Market can offer fresh items alongside pantry staples.
Infrastructure
Halton Region funding has helped with cold storage and rent relief, the behind-the-scenes support that keeps fresh food on the shelves and our doors open.
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
A clearer next step can take many forms.
The right service depends on the person and the need. Our team can help you explore local support in areas like these.
- Housing and stability
- Health and wellness
- Employment and skills
- Legal and financial questions
- Newcomer and family support
- Children, youth and seniors
Each organization sets its own services, eligibility and wait times, and we will help you understand what to expect.
