Collecting Christmas Tree

During these unprecedented times, the needs of those at risk in our community are greater than ever. Yet at the same time, the health & safety of those in-need, the volunteers who serve them, and our donors & sponsors must remain a priority.

Therefore at Compassion Society this holiday season, we’ve adapted our usual Holiday Gift Program to align with COVID safety protocols, while still lifting the spirits of our friends who need it most. We truly hope you’re in a position to help us this year.

Our Goal:

$35,000

worth of cards

How you can help:

COMPASSION CARDS

In order to reduce contact, we will be presenting our clients with RETAIL GIFT CARDS ONLY this holiday season. We call these Compassion Cards as they are the number one way to demonstrate compassion to our clients, as they empower Compassion Society families to select what they most desire for the holidays. It's giving made simple, with limited risk to all involved.

The best way to put our clients first is to consider gift cards from these suggested retailers, in denominations of $100, $50, or whatever works for you.

The most common cards our families wish for are:

  • Grocery stores

  • Wal-Mart

  • Burlington Centre Mall

  • Mapleview Centre Mall

  • Shoppers Drug Mart

  • Stores that carry baby items

With options like these, our clients have the broadest range of shopping choices – from food to clothing to toys – in order to best provide for themselves and their families during trying times.

To Corporate/Business donors:

We’re a key link in Halton's charitable sector. Doing social good is a powerful way to enhance your brand, and empower & inspire employees, partners, and customers to get involved with you.

To Individual/Family donors:

Challenge family, friends, and your local business community to get involved and help a Halton family in need.

If you wish also to donate new, unwrapped items, we would be happy to assist in getting them to the other community organizations we work with who have adapted their programming for COVID, and will also be helping those in need.
